Our consultation services help identify and address individual communication and access needs. We assess current tools, environments, and goals to recommend appropriate AAC and assistive technology solutions. Families, caregivers, and educational teams receive practical guidance on implementation strategies, device selection, and next steps for success across settings.

A comprehensive evaluation includes reviewing background information, collaborating with the individual, family, and/or educational team, and observing in natural environments. Hands-on trials with various devices and tools help identify effective solutions. The process includes data analysis, facilitation of device selection and funding, and a written report with findings and recommendations. A follow-up meeting reviews results and plans for successful implementation.

These hands-on sessions focus on helping users and caregivers integrate AAC use into daily learning routines, homeschool lessons, and other educational activities. Instruction is tailored to each individual’s communication goals and designed to promote meaningful participation, engagement, and confidence using AAC in real-world learning experiences.

This service emphasizes functional, real-world communication. Through guided, hands-on instruction, users and caregivers learn to incorporate AAC use into everyday routines, self-care, leisure, and community interactions. Sessions build confidence and independence while supporting carryover of communication skills across environments.

We provide individualized customization and personalization of AAC devices to ensure each system reflects the user’s unique communication style, preferences, and needs. Sessions include guided instruction for users and caregivers to promote confident, effective communication and seamless integration of the device into daily life.

Ongoing technical assistance ensures your AAC and assistive technology devices remain functional and reliable. We offer troubleshooting, software updates, and coordination for repairs or maintenance as needed, helping families and teams minimize disruptions and maintain consistent access to communication and learning tools.

For most locations within the Ocala area, within a one-hour roundtrip, there is no charge for travel. For clients outside of that area, we charge half the hourly rate to cover both mileage expenses and travel time.
